The Corporate Communications team at Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, FL is responsible for various communications and employee engagement campaigns. The team is seeking an intern, preferably in their senior year, studying Communications, Journalism and/or Public Relations, to learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on corporate engagement, employee communications and content creation. The intern should be a strong communicator, tech savvy, and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This internship will run from January 2024 – April 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.
Main Objective:
To learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on corporate engagement and internal content creation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support employee communications through content creation for employee intranet, newsletters, emails and eboards.
- Manage the Employee Event Ticket Distribution Program.
- Maintain Arthrex events section on the employee intranet.
- Assist in coordinating various corporate engagement efforts, including campus tours, educational programs/seminars and speaking engagements.
- Collaborate with and assist the Arthrex Experience team with HCP and guest planning visits and initiatives.
- Assist Corporate Communications Team with administrative tasks and duties as needed.
- This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.
Education and Experience:
- Progress towards a college degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing. A college junior, senior or a recent graduate required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required.
- Knowledge of AP style writing preferred.
- Excellent time management and project organization skills required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
