Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Business Analyst works directly with Product Development, Design Engineering and Quality departments within Arthrex to build and manage a pipeline of Information Technology projects and enhancements that support PLM Program goals and objectives, with mentorship from the Sr., Lead, Principal Business Analysts.  A successful candidate could have experience defining and operating business processes in one of the following areas: Product Management, Design Engineering, Quality and/or Manufacturing.  The position liaises with the technical organization to determine the timing and cost of specific projects.  A successful candidate must be able to analyze and document business flow from end to end.  Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills and a Bachelors’ degree will be essential for this position. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Translate business goals and objectives into strategic business capabilities.  
  2. Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices.
  3. Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities.
  4. Engage in efforts to establish scope and business case for new programs and initiatives.
  5. Deploy an appropriate methodology for the identification and documentation of business requirements.
  6. Plan and manage user acceptance testing activities.
  7. Accountable for adoption of solutions by sponsoring business departments.
  8. Provide the methodology, standards and tools for efficient and effective program management.
  9. Identify technical functionality that aligns with desired new business capabilities.    
  10. Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  11. Complete all QA Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions in a timely manner, as required.
  12. Timely and complete delivery of Quality NC and CAPA activities, as assigned
  13. Up to 20% travel required


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Business, Engineering or Computer Science or related field
  • Master’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred
  • 2 years’ experience within a business function (Mfg., Supply Chain, Distb., Finance, HR or Engineering) with business analysis or business process improvement activity required
  • Previous involvement in the deployment or optimization of an ERP system a plus
  • Previous position in Pharma or Medical Device industry a plus
  • Experience working in projects where multiple functions work in a matrix structure a plus


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • In depth knowledge of several business functions and related software applications.  SAP or Oracle preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement techniques and tools. Lean or Six Sigma preferred.
  • Understanding of the major functions in a global organization.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably at all levels within the organization up to the senior management level.


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC servers, workstations and laptops. Telecommunication equipment, cell phones and smart phones. Microsoft and Apple environment. Work with standard current computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. MS Office, SQL server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, ERP and partner software applications.
