The Communications team at Arthrex is growing with our new StudioX open and we are actively searching for an Audio-Visual Integration Technician II.   This position will be located on our corporate campus in Naples, FL.  Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

 

Main Objective:
Design and maintain existing AV installations around the Naples campus and remote US locations. This includes support for production studios, meeting spaces, digital signage, and conference rooms. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Arthrex audio-visual equipment.
  • Responsible for end-user support for all of the audio-visual equipment in the training and conference rooms on the Arthrex campus as well as off-site labs.
  • Setting up and installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and cameras.
  • Conducting comprehensive quality checks of all installs.
  • Maintaining strong customer relations.
  • Some travel is required to support remote locations around the US.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment.
  • Maintain assigned projects and trouble tickets.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and planning with IT and Facilities teams.
  • Provide backup support services for live events for productions.
  • Basic network understanding including TCP/IP, UDP, and IP schemas.
  • Provide customer input represented in both technical and business terms with descriptive requirements to ensure the value of the project is realized.
  • Provide troubleshooting in crisis situations for users.
  • Create end-user and internal AV team documentation.
  • Provide after-hours support via an on-call rotation.

 

Skills

  • Minor programming capability (Extron, etc) changes and troubleshooting.
  • Basic level programming capability (Extron, etc) changes and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot general network connectivity issues and work with IT to add devices to the network.

 

Education/ Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years of related experience or associate degree and 2 years of related experience required
  • Certifications: Extron Control Professional, Biamp TesiraFORTÉ, QSC, Dante Level 1, 2 & 3
