Main Objective:  

The Sr. Video Editor uses discretion and judgement to edit video and other multimedia to create compelling storyline/presentations consistent with Arthrex’s corporate image and identity. 

Essential Functions:

• Edit video assets for Arthrex including surgical technique videos, training materials, product demonstration videos, promotional videos, and motion graphics. 
• Offload or ingest all media into appropriate storage locations and verify media transferred successfully as well as provide quality control for all recorded footage  
• Organize footage, sequences and titles for all Adobe CC projects 
• Collaborate with requesters and provide creative solutions and suggestions  
• Edit select content in coordination with Product Management, the Marketing Department, and the Medical Education Department to produce high-quality digital media that educates our audiences 
• Contribute creative storytelling ideas for structure and consistency  
• Color correct and grade video footage utilizing vectorscopes, RGB parade and waveform monitor 
• Follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity 
• Maintain project status within the Arthrex Marketing Resource Management system and Media Production applications 
• Maintain all files in the Arthrex Media Asset Management system 
• Availability to work weekends when necessary. 
• Assist Producers with pre-production creative direction. 
• Task supervise post sub-teams for select, post-productions when assigned 
• Edit complex, high-profile projects 
• Assist in development of creative 
• Design and execute post-production planning and communicate plan to post-production team. 
• Supervise post-production sub-teams for project plans and post-production assignments 
• Edit complex, high-profile projects as defined by Producer 
• Define scope of project and develop post-production strategies 
• Schedule and communicate post-production priorities 

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required 
• 10 years of related experience or Associates Degree and 6 years of related experience required 
• 4 years of experience in Adobe Premier Pro editing and content creation required 
• 4 years of experience in Adobe After Effects required 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
• Adobe Certified Expert Certification for Premiere Pro preferred

• Advanced ability to mix multitrack audio projects 
• Advanced ability to repair and enhance audio 
• Skilled in creating 3D camera and lighting effects, complex masking, and shot tracking 
• Expert knowledge of green screen and keying techniques. 
• Working knowledge of anatomy and anatomical terms of location 
• Knowledge of orthopedic surgery principles, theories, and products necessary 
• Actively utilizes project management and communication skills 
• Ability to supervise priorities, activities, and tasks performed by post-production personnel 
• Travel up to 20%

Supervisory Responsibility:

• Meet regularly with the post-production team to ensure all projects stay on track and meet assigned deadlines 
• Interview and hire a team of post-production professionals 
• Supervise, coordinate, mentor, and train post-production personnel 
• Provide performance reviews, appraise performance, and resolve conflict 
• Set goals and objectives for team members and act as a visionary and coach 
• Provide AVT leadership with regular reports on project status 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

Ability to work well with a variety of team members to represent the design viewpoint effectively in a collaborative work environment. Contribute creative solutions in a productive and positive manner.  

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

Position requires a knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Prelude, Photoshop, as well as the Apple operating system.
