Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a System Integration Specialist - AV/ Electrical Systems who works directly with the Synergy Audio/Video departments within Arthrex and is Responsible for product support, testing, and training of Synergy Audio/Video integrated systems. Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills will be essential for this position. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of a test request system, including training of technicians on devices.
  • Establish & develop test procedures, new test equipment acceptance criteria, and test data assurance programs.
  • Execution of a test bench data assurance program for the validation/certification of video and audio equipment.
  • Train or present in using validated video/audio components to Field Service Technicians or support personnel.
  • Understand and develop program tests on various Audio/Video bench equipment using Video Test Generators, Multimeters, or dB meters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex interactions between audio/video systems.
  • Define and establish test metrics to measure not just product quality but also testing quality and feedback to engineers.
  • As needed, write test and calibration procedures for new or modified test equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve test equipment performance issues as well as assist in the implementation of the remediation of the problem.
  • Assist and support escalated integrated system issues.
  • Manage Synergy Integration demo systems to ensure systems are in good working order for customer demos.
  • Conduct or participate in technician training in test equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting diagnostics.
  • Travel up to 20%.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Technical Degree required.
  • 2 years of experience is required.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Advanced Electrical\Electronics experience
  • Video over IP knowledge
  • Video Encoder/Decoder technology experience
  • Video distribution and Fiber experience
  • MS Office Proficient
  • Familiarity with operating room equipment and protocols is a plus
  • MATLAB experience is a plus
  • JSON scripting experience for automated testing is a plus
