DevOps Engineer II

Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a DevOps Engineer  II  to work directly with the IT departments within Arthrex to provide engineering support to development, maintenance and optimization of the software development environment and infrastructure, build, integration, cybersecurity, and software development process. Location: Ft Myers, FL or Boston

We would like this position to sit with us in Ft Myers or Boston to work directly with the team with a partial-flexible WFH policy in effect.  Generous relocation package offered!  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support development and management of web applications infrastructure for multiple applications.
• Research, assess, and implement modern technologies to improve infrastructure and automation processes.
• Contribute to the development of automation systems for continuous integration and deployment.
• Collaborates with developers to ensure that operations are aligned with the design and development process.
• Monitors applications for abnormalities and proposes areas of improvement.
• Works closely with other teams including software quality assurance and information security to ensure compliance.
• Remains current with ISO/FDA standards and internal quality assurance policies.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

• Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
• Participate in platform architecture design activities.
• Share on-call duties.
• Conduct peer reviews, provides feedback, and suggests changes as needed.
• Conduct platform analysis and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Improve on existing platform designs by diagnosing and resolving inefficiencies and implementing enhancements.
• Write high-quality reusable DevOps code that satisfies platform needs and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability.
• Contribute to the infrastructure, DevOps, and CI/CD improvements.

Specialized Skills

• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• 2+ years of experience with source code management tools and pipelines
• 2+ years of experience administering and deploying production applications on Linux or Windows
• 2+ years of experience provisioning and managing cloud services

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 + years of relevant work experience required

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Linux/Windows servers, workstations, and laptops. Microsoft, Apple, Android, and Linux environments. Work with standard current computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets, enterprise applications such as ERP, MES, PLM, and CRM. Experience working with code editors, team collaboration software. Individual must feel comfortable using the command line.
