Mold Tool Maker - 2nd Shift

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education. Arthrex Manufacturing in Ave Maria, FL is actively searching for a Mold Tool Maker on Second Shift to ensure that all molds and mold equipment are kept in optimal operating condition at all times in order to guarantee top quality output with minimal down time. The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years mold maintenance experience, and good mechanical skills. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position. This position will be for 2nd Shift (3:30pm-2:00am). Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™. 

Second shift employees will have a shift differential of $1.50 per hour. If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $1,500.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the first $750.00 after completing your first 90 days and the second $750.00 after completing your first 180 days, if you are an employee in good standing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively and efficiently disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, repair, and assemble all in house molds as necessary.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in a steady, professional manner with little or no supervision.
• Assist in general machining of mold and mold components as required.
• Assist in identification placement on molds, mold components and related products.
• Assist in the Prototype department as time permits.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or required by the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent and apprenticeship preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

3 to 5 years mold maintenance experience, good mechanical skills.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Ability to run secondary mills, lathes, EDMs, and capabilities of welding.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.  Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
