Arthrex is hiring a Data Analyst for the manufacturing operations. We are in search of a highly motivated individual who will support our production planning, operations, engineering, quality, and supporting organizations in our manufacturing division. The successful candidate is adept at using large data sets to locate opportunities to optimize operations, utilize data mining methods and building models for simulations.

 

The Data Analyst will be expected to analyze, aggregate and query internal data sources to provide visual data insights into our manufacturing processes and performance. This position requires both analytical and business acumen as you will be working directly with customers and all levels of leadership. The role requires hands on technical skills, in particular a strong knowledge of SQL is required as well as experience using Power BI.

 

The position can be located at either Ave Maria, FL or Pendleton SC manufacturing location. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a passion to discover hidden solutions based on data, locating opportunities to improve.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with stakeholders within operations and supporting teams to identify opportunities and driving business solutions
  • Participates in gathering and documenting user/customer requirements
  • Assess accuracy of data, identifying new sources
  • Working with technical teams to determine new and innovative gathering techniques
  • May be involved with the following: troubleshooting, recovery, tuning of the database and cubes, software installation and upgrades, resolving errors and failures, auditing activities, and resource utilization
  • Modifies reports, cubes, dashboards, or directs programmers/analysts to make changes
  • Coordinates, documents, and implements data security measures to safeguard information.
  • Working directly with customers for improvements, new opportunities, and satisfaction
  • Project Management and mentorship of junior-level analysts
  • Provides technical input for overall Database, Datawarehouse, BI, ETL, and Business Applications strategy
  • Coordinate with various functional teams to implement models and monitor results
  • Implement and utilize predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, generate revenue, and work with teams to develop additional business capabilities

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in at least one of the following (two or more preferred):
    • SAP Data and Tables
    • MS SQL-Server SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
    • Data Warehouses; Data synchronization/integration
    • Extraction, Translation, Load; Master Data Management
    • BI; including KPIs, Scorecards, Dashboards
    • Python
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures preferred
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics preferred
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (AI, proper usage, regression, etc) and the real-world drawbacks or advantages

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Database certifications strongly preferred: MS SQL-Server
  • At least one of the following business BI tool certifications strongly preferred: PowerBI, BOBJ
  • Coding knowledge and experience with C, C++, Java preferred

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC servers, workstations and laptops. Microsoft environment.

Works with current applications; including Expert PowerBI, MS-Office, Azure, SQL, SAP
