Arthrex is actively seeking a Application Analyst II to work directly with the IT & Business partners within Arthrex to help with facilitating process improvements through collaboration with other business and IT teams, as well as design, configuration, analysis, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the organization’s production systems/applications. Excellent communications and analytical skills, strong technical project management skills and a Bachelors’ degree will be essential for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant business areas and associated business processes in order to recommend solutions, provide support, and define high-quality requirements.
  • Influence business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Ensure stability, integration, and integrity of production systems while understanding technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Respond to, resolve, or escalate reported incidents.
  • Perform root cause analysis investigations and follow through on the execution of appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in assessment of application security and identity management requirements, where applicable.
  • Create and manage applicable artifacts, including business case documentation, scope documentation, detailed business and functional requirements, operational requirements, process flows, and test cases.
  • Lead and/or contribute to the delivery of projects while adhering to Quality System procedures and Change Control.
  • Assist validation and testing activities of cross-functional teams that include technical functions such as IT, Software QA, Business Subject Matter Process Experts. 
  • Ensure appropriate regulations and standards, such as but not limited to 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485, are addressed in software validations. 
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders regarding the execution of complex project-related tasks, problem identification, and problem resolution.
  • Contribute to the design, configuration, analysis, management, and maintenance of enterprise applications, including (where applicable):
    1. User administration and onboarding
    2. Issue resolution, patching, and performance monitoring
    3. Reliability, backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery
    4. Provide application and hardware specifications and requirements, as well as operational, runbook, and capacity planning information.
  • Lead and/or support user acceptance testing and training activities.
  • Under management direction, may participate as SME during audits.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience is required
  • 2+ years of experience with at least one of the following is preferred:
    1. Working with Windows infrastructure
    2. Managing an Enterprise application
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. (Life Sciences experience a plus)
  • Microsoft SQL knowledge and experience a plus

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Working knowledge of network device management, switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers a plus.
  • Working knowledge of storage systems and SQL Databases a plus.
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Operating System, networking, DNS, and DHCP knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Cloud Architecture concepts, a plus
  • Proficiency in basic Windows applications required (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience performing system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting is required.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and a rapidly changing environment.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC servers, sensors\probes, workstations, and laptops, Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools and diagramming tools.
