We are currently searching for a new colleague to become part of the expanding Arthrex team. This position will provide legal and compliance support for the North-West EMEA consists of Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and UK.

The ideal candidate will be located in one of the following locations:  Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build partnerships with in-country compliance liaisons, business, and functional stakeholders to support the implementation of governance framework and ensure alignment between legal and compliance and business strategies.
  • Provide legal and compliance support for North West EMEA region as part of the executive team in this region.
  • Proactively identify areas for business process enhancements and of non-compliance with legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, company policies, and/or written standards.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on regional legal and compliance issues.
  • Conduct thorough and timely reviews and analysis of various company records, functions and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance strategies to ensure the companies values and ethical standards; providing in-person training where appropriate.
  • Provide advice and interpretation of the companies code of conduct, relevant laws and regulations, compliance policies, relevant health industry regulations, and industry codes.
  • Support the execution and remediation of Compliance Audits within the region.

 

Education and Professional Experience:

  • Background in a related role in either the Life Sciences or Legal industry
  • Have a Bachelors degree in Health Care, Life Sciences, Legal, Government, or other applicable field of study.

 

Specific Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience; international experience is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Experience with the interpretation and applications of compliance-related laws and regulations.
  • Have working knowledge of compliance-related laws and regulations, including those related to anti-corruption.

 

General requirements:

  • Organised with a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
  • Familiarity of working within a matrix reporting structure/ environment (advantageous).
  • Sound judgement, ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
  • Ability to effectively challenge and support, with excellent interpersonal skills to successfully build working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Confidence to make decisions as and when required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders.

 

Working Arrangements:

Please note that this is a full-time position, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required. Hybrid working arrangement available.

 

Travel activity:

This role involves some occasional business travel between the Arthrex sites, and European travel as and when required.
