Main Objective:
Professionally and actively work within the medical education department to carry out and oversee medical education strategy and implementation in Arthrex China. This will require the development, organization,communication, monitoring and regular appraisal of medical education programs which ensure the safe and effective use of Arthrex products and improve the knowledge of Health Care professionals. Ensure compliance in all aspects of medical education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Arthrex China Med Ed team and medical education budget to accomplish objectives
- Plan, organize, implement and coordinate Medical Education activity of a defined geography including educational courses, labs, grants, symposium, charitable donations and lectures within a defined budget.
- Coordinate instructional programs for surgeons on surgical procedures and products
- Manage surgeon visits and interact with visiting surgeons on Arthrex-related affairs
- Work directly with surgeons and customers on projects as needed and manage consulting surgeon relationships
- Manage program for professional development for employees on anatomy, products, and surgical procedures
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive medical education program touching on Level I, II and III levels of HCP education
- Engage with hospital administrations on introduction of medical education into their curriculums
- Co-ordinate Singapore lab requests
- Develops and conducts sales training on company products based on sales and marketing business priorities
- Work with Medical Education Assistant to ensure travel arrangements for HCP travel; accommodation and meals are completed in a timely manner and within compliance guidelines for medical education events
- Coordinates and participates in the planning, organisation and execution of national and regional cadaver workshops for HCP’s.
- Develop educational materials and other resources, e.g., online or web resources, etc., for the advancement of medical education in China for both surgeons, Distributors and Sales Reps as required
- Ensure Arthrex Inc and Arthrex China compliance policies and guidelines are followed by working closely with APAC Compliance and those responsible for compliance in Arthrex China
- Ensure internal approval processes are followed and contribute to process improvement
- Under guidance of Director of Medical Education, APAC, develop and update SOPs for Arthrex China Medical Education Department and communicates these processes to relevant staff in Arthrex China, APAC and Inc teams as instructed.
- Provides guidelines and supports processing HCP expenses with finance department for medical education activities
- Demonstrates general understanding of the orthopedic conditions, patho-anatomy and biomechanics as it relates to the utilization of Arthrex Products in Orthopedic Surgery
- Serves as a liaison for organization, implementation and development of Surgeon Curriculum Education Training Programs
- Leads and develops the Surgical Observership Program, building new opportunities for our surgeons interested in advancing their techniques by visiting the centers of reference available

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree or higher in one of the Biomedical Sciences or clinical medicine preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of knowledge and experience in orthopedic surgery and instruction (arthroscopy preferred)
At least 2 years supervisory/management experience is preferred.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, etc.
Knowledge of orthopedic products.
Must be willing to travel up to 40%.
Excellent oral and written English and Chinese communication skills.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Ability to communicate, interact professionally and meaningfully with HCPs.
Ability to teach and develop training materials is required.
Strong negotiation skills are required.
